Wendy Pocock, MA, NCLCMHC, CSAT, CPTT Wendy Pocock is a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT). She trained for these certifications under Dr. Patrick Carnes and other leading professionals through the International Institution of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), the most renowned and professional organization in the field of sexual addiction research and methods of therapy. She has been a speaker for Sex Addicts Anonymous workshops, Couples Recovering from Addiction seminar, and church groups. She has also led church-based divorce classes.
Wendy is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (NCLCMHC). She is a member of the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals. She is on the national listing for L.I.F.E ministries groups for spouses of sexual addicts. She is a certified Prepare/Enrich pre-marital counselor and a member of the Psi Chi National Society in Psychology. She is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary - Charlotte with a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling.
Her approaches to therapy are biblically-integrated, emotionally focused, psychodynamic, family systems, and experiential. Wendy also has a Master of Fine Arts in Piano Performance. In addition to music, she enjoys spending time with her family, doing outdoor sports, and ballroom dancing.
